"Your Content" – We Are Allowed To Do
We may publish, check, edit or remove all or part of the comments or other material, including your name, town and country, which you submit to us ('Your Content'), at our sole discretion. We are not obliged to do any of these things and we may not.
You retain any copyright you may have in Your Content. By submitting material to us, you grant us a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive worldwide license to use, copy, edit, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, make available, communicate and distribute Your Content (in whole or part) and/or to incorporate it in other works in any form, media, or technology now known or later developed. By submitting Your Content, you warrant that you have the right to grant this license. The license is capable of sub-license by us to any other entities and brands.
To the extent permitted by law, you waive your moral rights (e.g. the right to be identified as author or to object to derogatory treatment) in Your Content.
This clause means, for example (without limitation), that we can:
- Continue to publish all or part of Your Content, including your name, town and country, even if you change your mind and want us to remove it and/or you are no longer registered with the site.
- Remove Your Content, even if you have not breached these Terms or our House Rules.
- Use all or part of Your Content in promoting our products and services (e.g. we may use a screenshot including your comments in our advertising).
- Edit your Content, which may result in a part of it being modified and displayed, including without your name. Please note that we do not check, monitor, moderate or even see all the comments and other material submitted to us. While some comments are pre-moderated (i.e. checked in advance by us before publication), some are not.
"Your Content" – We Are Not Allowed To Do
You must not submit any material to the site that is:
- Defamatory, malicious, threatening, false, misleading, offensive, abusive, discriminatory, harassing, blasphemous or racist.
- Indecent, obscene or of a sexual nature.
- A breach of confidentiality or someone's privacy.
- Could prejudice any active legal proceedings of which you are aware.
- Likely to cause someone alarm, anxiety or distress.
- Likely to encourage violence or racial or religious hatred.
- Infringing any intellectual property rights, such as copyright and trade marks.
- Technically harmful (including computer viruses, logic bombs, Trojan horses, worms, harmful components, corrupted data or other malicious software).
- Offering or promoting any product or services.
- Impersonating anyone else or otherwise misrepresenting your identity, affiliation or status.
- In breach of these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and/or Community Guidelines.
- Encouraging or teaching conduct that is a criminal offence, gives rise to civil liability, or is otherwise unlawful.
Third Party Content And Links Available On The Site
We are not liable or responsible for the third party content on the site. Third party content includes, for example, comments, blogs and articles posted by users and the content of advertisements. Where the site contains links to other sites and resources provided by third parties, these links and resources are provided for your information only and you access them at your own risk. If you see something which you reasonably believe breaches these Terms or our Community Guidelines, please contact us on secretarygeneral@iaamonline.org.
Infringement Of Intellectual Property Right
If you think your work has been copied in a manner that constitutes copyright infringement, you can contact us at contact@iaamonline.org. Please include:
- A physical or electronic signature of the person authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
- A description of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed.
- A description of where the material you claim is infringing is located on the site.
- Your address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the above information is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner.
Our Liability
The information contained on the site is for information purposes only and does not constitute advice. We make no representations or warranties with respect to the site or its contents. Except for liability for fraudulent misrepresentation or deliberate breach of these Terms by us, we are not liable for any action you may take as a result of relying on any information provided on the site, any dealings you have with third parties, or any business loss connected with your trade, business or profession.
Maintenance Of The Site
We will try to do scheduled maintenance during times when we anticipate that online use is lower than normal. We also need to be able to do emergency maintenance and/or suspend access to servers where, in our reasonable discretion, we see the need to do that.
Validity Of These Terms
If any part or provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, this shall not affect the validity of any other part or provision.
Jurisdiction And Applicable Law
These Terms are governed by Swedish law. The Swedish courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute relating to these terms.
Conference Admission Policy
Participation in IAAM congresses is subject to the following terms and conditions.
By registering for and/or attending the congress, participants acknowledge and
agree to comply with this policy.
Admission and Access
- Attendance at the congress is restricted to pre-registered delegates only.
- Delegates must wear their official congress badge at all times while accessing congress venues and activities.
- Congress badges are personal, non-transferable, and may not be shared or used by any other individual.
- Any person found to have obtained access or a badge through misrepresentation, fraud, theft, or other unauthorized means will be denied entry or removed from the congress without refund.
Conduct and Eligibility
- Delegates must conduct themselves in a professional, lawful, and respectful manner and must not engage in any activity that disrupts congress sessions, exhibitions, or official events.
- Individuals under the age of 15 are not permitted to attend the congress unless prior written authorization has been granted by the organizer.
- Student delegates are required to present a valid student identification document at the registration desk upon request.
- Accompanying persons are not permitted to attend scientific sessions, lectures, or presentations, but may be invited to designated social activities (e.g., coffee breaks, lunches, dinners), where applicable.
Press and Media
- Members of the press may be required to submit a media application form and present valid press accreditation for verification prior to approval.
- IAAM reserves the right to approve or deny media access at its sole discretion.
Photography, Filming, and Data Protection (GDPR)
- Official IAAM photographers and videographers may capture photographs, audio, and video recordings during the congress.
- By attending the congress, participants consent to the processing of their image and likeness for purposes including documentation, reporting, promotion, and communication of IAAM activities, in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) and/or 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.
- Such materials may be used across IAAM websites, reports, publications, and digital or printed media, without financial compensation and without time limitation.
- Personal data is processed in accordance with IAAM’s Privacy Policy and applicable EU data protection legislation.
- Participants may exercise their GDPR rights (including access, rectification, restriction, or objection) by contacting IAAM through the official channels listed in the Privacy Policy.
- Unauthorized photography, audio recording, or video recording by participants is strictly prohibited without prior written approval from IAAM.
Right of Admission and Removal
IAAM reserves the right to refuse admission, revoke access, or remove any individual
from the congress or venue, without refund, if the individual:
- Violates this Conference Admission Policy or other IAAM regulations;
- Is reasonably considered likely to breach congress rules or compromise safety, order, or integrity of the event; or
- Is subject to applicable legal restrictions, sanctions, or regulations under EU or international law.
Legal Notice
This policy forms part of the IAAM Congress Registration Terms and Conditions
and shall be governed by applicable European Union law and, where relevant,
Swedish law.
